“Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations.” – Romans 4:18
One thing that gives me hope is that God knows the end from the beginning. He knows how everything is going to turn out. And, because He loves me, I know that all things will work together for my good!
Hope comes from God. He is the God of Hope. He is the One who defeated our enemies and established us in the most powerful Covenant ever made. Knowing God as our Father and our Covenant God empowers us when feelings of hopelessness come. We can be assured that what He promised will come to pass even when we see no progress, because our hope is in God!
If you need more hope you can always go to the Word and get some! That’s where Abraham got his hope from. Then, he decided to believe in that hope despite the pressures and lack of evidence to support God’s promise as the years passed by.
God’s hope emboldens us when you feel like the odds are against you, the tables are turned on you and the deck is stacked against you! Those are all just worldly ways the enemy uses to create PRESSURE so you’ll give up your hope! Abraham knew that pressure, and he also knew that this world’s pressure was no match for God, and by keeping hope alive in his heart despite what the physical evidence said, he knew that God would honor His Word and that he would receive the end of the promise! Hope knows that God will honor His Word.
Let God’s hope be an anchor for your soul and let it keep you stable in the ever-changing currents and pressures of this world. We have a fortress of Hope in God that will cause us to stand in any storm! This world is passing away, but those who live in hope will always have that safe place in His presence!
