“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature…” II Peter 1:4
Proverbs 4:22 says that we are to keep our heart (our spirit man) with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. Other translations say the wellsprings of life, the outgoings of life, or the sources of life. The New Testament carries the completion of this picture! According to the Word of God (above), we, who are born again, have received the Divine Nature of God, Himself! The New Testament didn’t give us a religion. It brought new life into our spirit! The wellsprings have now been filled with the Living Water that flows from God’s own Spirit! Our spirits have been recreated through the new birth to be the Temple of the Living God! Peter called it the Divine Nature! Paul called it the New Creation! John called it Zoe Life, the Greater One in us! Jesus called it Rivers of Living Water! He said, “I give them Eternal Life!” (John 10:28)
The world doesn’t know and cannot see the amazing treasure we carry! But there is a stunning revelation of the sons of God (US) that is taking the world by storm! This is not something we are awaiting! This is happening now! Soon, the world will see the manifestation of what God’s people are made of! Soon they will witness the amazing treasure we have in our earthen vessels! A vast, inexhaustible repository of LIFE, POWER, BLESSING, WISDOM, STRENGTH and PEACE, all followed by signs, wonders and miracles! We have a well within us (John 4:14) that we can draw from as we desire – and that well is LIFE to those who find it and it is medicine to their entire being! (Proverbs 4:22)
That’s the power of the Divine Nature. God says it’s within us! God says it’s ours by inheritance, it’s not earned or merited, but it’s ours because we are His – heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ! You are who God says you are, and you have the Power of the Divine Nature abiding within you!!
