“The King’s strength also loves justice; You have established equity; You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.” Psalms 99:4

Did you know you have equity in heaven? You do! Equity was actually God’s idea! Equity is defined as ‘…something, or the state of being just and fair. It also represents ownership or interest in something of value.’ True equity is not found in this fallen world. It comes from God! It doesn’t come from governments, social reforms, riots, chaos or human effort, nor through organizations demanding it!

God revealed the equity He bequeathed to mankind when He paid the greatest price that was ever paid for anyone, at anytime, anywhere! The value He placed on us was equal to that of the Price He paid for us, which was His own Son; a price far exceeding the wealth of this world, or even this universe for that matter. Whether we are Yellow, Red, or Black or White, each of us was given equity in heaven equal to that of the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself! That happened when we were born into the family of God and became His child when we received Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. Romans 8:16-17 states, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.”

The price paid is what defines the equity of the purchased possession. Our equity in heaven was revealed when the King of kings came to us with the government on His shoulders; not to rule over us with an iron fist, but to liberate us and elevate us to where He is – thereby making us heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, giving access to all the resources of heaven. That is true EQUITY!

Many Christians don’t understand the equity they have in God. They assume Christianity to be a life spent living for God. That’s not what the Bible teaches. We don’t live FOR God. Instead, we allow Him to live through us. We can only do that by understanding the equity we have been given in Christ as our endless source and a treasury in our earthen vessel that can never even come close to being used up.

Equity – it’s yours in Him!

With Love,
