Psalm 30:4 “Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.”

The word holiness in scripture has several meanings. First it refers to God’s purity and sinlessness, His excellence and glory! But there’s much more… Exodus 15:11 says, Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” Because of His awesome holiness, God is set above all His creation, and all His creation is subject to Him.

Then. in Leviticus 20:7-8, God revealed something that is very life-giving! God revealed Himself as Jehovah M’Kaddesh, which means The LORD our Sanctifier; or, a better term for us would be, the LORD who makes you holy! This revealed God’s earnest desire to live through us, and to conform our personality with His. Instituting this new Covenant Name, Jehovah M’Kaddesh – tells us that the LORD can and will make us holy! And this happened when you were born again!

This is when we were “…made alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”

Because God is Holy, He is above His creation! Jesus was also above all creation and proved it!  Now, since we were born again, we also are raised up together with Christ, which is the seat of authority He has reserved for us to share in His holiness and in His glory! That’s what God thinks of you!

With Love,
