“The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” – Mt. 8:8
The Word of God is the most powerful force in the universe! By God’s Word the universe and
everything in it was created. The Bible even states that God has “magnified His Word even above
all His Name!” (Ps. 138:2) That Word is the all-authoritative, all powerful, force that the entire
universe answers to. That force is a Person. That Person is Jesus! All things were created by
Him, the Word of God. Therefore, all things are subject to Him, the Word of God, including Covid-19!
Jesus described the Word as SEED (Mk. 4:14)! The intrinsic nature of the Word of God is to
reproduce itself after its own kind. His Word is also incorruptible, indestructible, ever-living
SEED, and, according to I Peter 1:23, that seed reproduced itself in us when we were born again!
Truth brings freedom! Lies bring bondage! Jesus said, “Thy Word is Truth!” (John 17:17)
He also said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the
mouth of God! With that statement, Jesus gave us the full authority and Blood-bought right to
speak the Word of God into every facet of our lives! Why would we speak anything else? Why
would we speak words that agree with the enemy’s plot against us? The testimony of this Roman
centurion is still speaking to us today. That’s why it’s in the Bible! “Speak the Word only!”
This applies to our physical bodies, our souls, our finances, our relationships, and in all areas of
our lives where we desire God’s blessing. When our bodies tell us they are sick, what do we do?
Do we say, “I’m sick?” No! We don’t speak words that agree with the problem. We agree with the
answer and speak those things which be not as though they were! We speak the Word only that
says, “…by His stripes I was healed!” ‘Too late devil, I was already healed! And I enforce health
in my body now with the Word of God that subjects you and everything else under its authority!
My body doesn’t respond to sickness, it’s already subjected to the Word of Truth!’
When our children seem to be heading off on the wrong path, what do we say? Do we agree with
the deception that has them confused? No! We speak the Word only and say, “All my
children are taught of the Lord and GREAT IS THEIR PEACE! (Isa. 54:13) “… for I (the LORD)
will contend with him that contends with you, and I will save your children!” (Isaiah 49:25)
Let’s use the Sword of the Spirit accurately and efficiently! His Word will stand forever and his
Truth will endure to all generations! So, speak the Word only. Speak life and you will eat the Fruit of Life!
