“Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus” Heb. 3:1

The more insight we gain into the principles of the Bible, the more readily we can access God’s power! As our High Priest, Jesus is seated, poised and ready to mediate the Covenant He established on our behalf!  The problem is that too many don’t know how to access the benefits of our Covenant with God. Our part is to know how the New Covenant operates and renew our minds to the wonders it contains! One of the mind renewing exercises is to CONSIDER Jesus, who is the Apostle and the High Priest of our Confession. We know that the New Testament Confession refers to the confession of our faith in God.

According to the above scripture, Jesus is the Apostle and High Priest of our confession! An apostle is one who is sent. A High Priest is one who mediates between God and man. This is telling us that Jesus is SENT by the Father to MEDIATE our confession of faith! That’s why it’s so important for us to say what God says about us, and agree with God that His Word concerning us is true! It is vital that we hold to the confession of our faith in the exceeding great and precious Promises of God!

Too often people talk about their problems and sicknesses, and they say they never get a break in life, that they’re always broke and can’t seem to get ahead. Without realizing it, they’re prolonging those problems by continually confessing them their faith in them!

Jesus wants you to speak His Words of blessing over your life! By doing so, you give Him words to work with. No words work better than the Words God has already spoken over you;  words of blessing, healing and health, prosperity and abundance, strength and victory, safety and soundness, deliverance and empowerment!  There are promises in the Bible about each one of these things concerning you, and those are words that He can bring before the Father and make good on your behalf. He is sent to mediate and make good on all the promises of God!

So, if you’re not seeing these things in your life, then start changing your words. Speak God’s blessing over your life. Speak His strength into your weaknesses. Speak His power into your body and into your mind and emotions. When you speak His Word into your life, you’re building truth into your spirit man which will reproduce itself and bring freedom to your soul and your body, and begin to liberate you as you’ve never imagined before! All Jesus needs is your words!

With Love,

Pastor Tom
